My Japanese friend recorded a VCD concert for me and I think that it is NTSC, but I am in Europe and my VCD player only supports to play VCD in PAL. How can I convert the VCD NTSC to VCD PAL?
I purchased a very interesting VCD in South Korea but I failed to play it on my DVD player. I asked in the forum and someone answered that I need to convert the VCD NTSC to VCD PAL? Is that true? If so, how can I convert VCD NTSC to VCD PAL?
NTSC and PAL are two analog television systems for displaying videos. The main differences between NTSC and PAL lie in the frame rates and resolutions. NTSC supports a 23.97 frame rate and a 720x480 resolution while PAL supports a 25 frame rate and a 768x576 resolution. It is just the frame rate and resolution differences that a VCD file produced in NTSC region is not supported for playback on TV or player in PAL region and vice versa. But the solution is also easily available and you only need a NTSC to PAL converter to convert the VCD NTSC frame rate and resolution to VCD PAL frame rate and resolution.
