MOD is a video format adopted by many standard definition hard-drive and digital tapeless camcorders, like JVC, Panasonic, Canon, etc. MOD is actually an MPEG-2 Program Stream file and so can be watched in a player which supports MPEG-2. But if you want to play this MOD format on 3G mobile phones and some 2G and 4G phones you had better convert this MOD format to 3GP, a specific format developed for 3G UMTS multimedia services.
To convert MOD to 3GP, users will need a professional MOD to 3GP converter. iDealshare VideoGo is just the most professional MOD to 3GP converter.

MOD is exclusively used for SD video files while TOD is for HD video files. If some program can not open the MOD file, first you can rename the MOD file extension to MPG extension due to the fact that MOD complies with the MPEG-2 specification. If the renaming is not working you can rely on iDealshare VideoGo to convert the MOD to the more needed video format.
