I want to play one XviD file on my iPhone, but iPhone does not support the XviD file. Any solution to my problem?
I failed to play the XviD file on my Android phone. I searched Android support and learnt the Android phone supports MP4 H.264, but not the XviD. So how can I convert the XviD file to MP4 H.264 for playing on my Android phone?
XviD is not a video format, but a video codec. XviD compresses videos with MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile (ASP) method, so XviD can be played in MPlayer, VLC, Perian or other ASP-compliant decoders. Besides, XviD can also be played in some DivX compatible DVD players, if burned to CD or DVD. However, XviD is still not compatible with the normally used iPhone, iPad, iPod, Androd, Zune, Apple TV, Windows Media Player, etc. So if you have got some other video formats and want to play them on XviD compatible players, converting other video formats to XviD is a good choice. If you have got some XviD files and want to play them on iPhone, iPad, iPod, Android, Windows Media Player, etc, converting XviD to the more popular MP4, MOV, WMV, FLV, etc is a good choice. No matter you want to convert videos to or from XviD, a professional XviD converter is needed.
