MKV Subtitles - Add .srt, .ssa, .ass, .sub, .idx Subtitles to MKV Files

Overview

This article will solve all the following MKV Subtitles symptoms:

• Already have the corresponding subtitles for the MKV movie files but just don't know how to add this subtitle to MKV video;

Free download, install and run iDealshare VideoGo (for Windows, for Mac) the following interface will pop up.

Step 1 Import MKV files

Click "Add File" button to locate and load the MKV video files.

Step 2 Add subtitles to MKV

• Click the "Effect" button to open the Video Edit window; then switch to "Subtitle" pane.
• Click the "+" button to import the subtitle file whatever it is in .srt, .ssa, .ass, sub, .idx, .sup and others ; it will be automatically displayed in the subtitle list.
• You can define the subtitle font, color, size, style, transparency, vertical space by adjusting the corresponding option..

Step 3 Set to keep the subtitles when converting MKV to MP4

Click the MKV Subtitle box drop-down button on the video info bar to select the subtitle which you like to preserve when convert MKV to MP4.

Step 4 Select output video format

Click the "Profile" drop-down button to select desired output profile from the "General Video" category:

• If you only want to add subtitles to MKV and still keep the same MKV format and video quality, select MKV as output video format.
• If you want to convert MKV to MP4 with subtitles, simply select MP4 as output profile.
• If you want to convert MKV to AVI with subtitles, simple select AVI as output video format.

Step 5 Finish to add subtitles to MKV or convert MKV to MP4 with subtitles

Click the "Convert" button to start and finish adding subtitles to MKV or converting MKV to MP4 with subtitles
