I have a big collection of WMV files stored on my computer and now I want to import them to my new iPhone XS for watching. I checked iPhone XS specification and found out that WMV is not on iPhone XS supported video format list. Is there an easy way to solve this WMV not playing on iPhone XS problem?
I export one WMV file from the Windows Movie Maker. This exported WMV file cost me much energy, but when I try to play it on my iPhone it failed. I googled and learnt that WMV is not supported by iPhone. Any solution?
WMV format is originally developed by Microsoft and thus is completely supported by Microsoft softwares, like Windows Media Player, Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photos, etc. However, WMV format is not accepted by Apple platform nor Apple products, such as iPhone. Any version of iPhone, including the newly released iPhone XR, XS/XS Max, X, does not support WMV format, but we can easily overcome this incompatibility issue with a professional WMV to iPhone converter, like iDealshare VideoGo.
The unsupported WMV format will be easily converted to iPhone supported one following the guide below. Then it is that easy to successfully play any videos on iPhone XR, XS/XS Max, X, 8/8 Plus,7/7 Plus,SE, 6S/6S Plus, 6/6 Plus etc
Free download and install the professional WMV to iPhone Converter - iDealshare VideoGo (for Mac, for Windows), install and run it, the following interface will pop up.
In this step, we need to import the unsupported WMV file to this WMV to iPhone converter. Two methods can help with the WMV import: clicking the "Add file" button and using the drag and drop feature.
Click the "Profile" and in the "iPhone" list, please select your own iPhone model like iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5, iPhone 4, etc. Selecting iPhone 6S Plus can work for iPhone XR, XS/XS Max, X, 8/8 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus etc
Finally click the "Convert" button to make the WMV file easily converted to iPhone supported MOV H.264.
